Social Dancing
Children's and Teen's classes are great fun for children - they
learn to dance and at the same time have a good time with other
kids. The classes are good for shy children helping them to
develop self-confidence and self-esteem.
Party Line Dancing
Included in the Latin/Ballroom class are popular party line dances
including YMCA, Greased Lightning, The Box etc.
Kids/Teens classes are upbeat. We use the latest pop music as
well as traditional Latin and Ballroom tracks.
Latin American
The Latin American style consists of five dances -
Samba, Rumba, Jive. Paso Doble,and Cha Cha Cha.
In the Kids/Teens Social Classes we cover basic Samba, Rumba,
Jive and Cha Cha Cha.
The actions of Latin American dances are excellent for
developing students' sense of timing, rhythm, hip movement and
for strengthening ankles, foot arch and leg muscles.
Ballroom and New Vogue Dancing
The Ballroom Style consists of five dances -
Waltz.
In the Kids/Teens Social Classes we cover Modern Waltz,
Quickstep and Slow Rhythm Foxtrot.
The Kids/Teens Social Classes we cover the more popular and
easier New Vogue dances including Parma Waltz, Merrilyn,
Evening 3 Step and Gypsy Tap.
Medals
For children who are intererested, the Kids and Teens' classes
offer the opportunity for kids to learn basic technique and perform
beginner level medal tests. Please speak with the Principal if you
are interested in your child learning for a medal test.
